Many of Proverb’s products feature a variety of inscriptions which can serve as a reminder or an affirmation to the wearer. Collaborating with it’s founders, I created a brand strategy which audited the competition, the personality of the brand, and the core values the company instilled into every touchpoint of the brand.
A common theme among our countless conversations was storytelling and the strength stories have within the human experience. Inspired by ancient Chinese proverbs, as well as Christianity’s collection of proverbs, the wordmark is set in a modified Lydia.
The logo takes the form of an abstracted quill—a nod to the various mediums that people have shared their own stories throughout human history, with a contemporary execution
