Survey Builder Redesign

I took the lead on redesigning Survey Builder, the foundational tool in the Qualtrics suite. It was feature rich while simultaneously overwhelming and intimidating, especially for new users. The challenge was to simplify the experience without sacrificing its robustness for our power users.

This project included a research-driven overhaul of the interface to infuse structure and predictability into the Survey Builder.  In this multi-phased project, I implemented change management strategies to help users adapt smoothly, along with comprehensive accessibility specs. The result? A user-friendly interface with a framework that tames complexity through progressive disclosure. Now, the Survey Builder is not just easier to use—it's inclusive, setting the standard of quality for products across the platform.

Purpose-built Apps

For this initiative I led the design vision and delivery of Purpose-built app platform. This platform aimed to deliver apps finely tuned to specific user needs. I  created an extensible framework and navigation system that could flexibly adapt to the needs of each customer-focused app. This included everything from admin systems and a pattern library to an interaction model tailored for each app's specific context.

I delivered the end-to-end experiences for our first use-case app of CX Dashboard Viewer, a simplified space where users could easily monitor key metrics. Concurrently, I drove partnerships with cross-organizational teams to apply new frameworks to partners’ apps enabling hero launch of Manager Assist— a go-to hub for managing employee engagement. To continue with our forward momentum, I created comprehensive documentation to ensure the platform's scalability and sought out collaborations to multiply it’s impact with each new addition to the platform.

AI Interaction Model Toolkit

Developing a reusable framework for driving team and organizational consistency when delivering and displaying content that is generated by AI/ML tools. This enables design and product teams to build more efficiently, and drive ethical application of this technology in emerging product features. Aligned with foundational UX research, this framework prioritizes user agency, awareness, and consent in interactions with AI/ML technologies.

Within the workstream to unify content, visual, and interaction design for AI features, I was responsible for driving the interaction design POV. This included defining the basic mechanics of the interaction model between the user and an ai-assisted system, and defining a framework for categorizing ai-outputs to provide context-aware requirements to product teams. As a result this unified framework serves as a blueprint to empower product teams with better problem formulation, and provides situationally appropriate design artifacts that prioritize user trust and delivering high-value experiences.
